Daibutsu - The Great Buddha of Kamakura
Daibutsu- The great Buddha of Kamakura is a monumental outdoor statue of Amida Buddha in Kamakura, Kanto, Japan. This statue supports buddhism and buddhist temples. It was made in 1252 and was inside a temple (Todaji in Nara). A huge tsunami washed away the temple in the 15th century, and the statue has been sitting out in the open ever since. It weighs 93 tons and is 13.5 meters long.
